Before Shravan & I embarked on this trip, all I was worried about was our decision of leaving Anahita back home with her grandparents. Hence, I wasn’t as involved with the nitty-gritties of the planning. Usually its me deciding on our itinerary, booking the excursions, finding out places to eat. This time it was Shravan. So when we reached Canada, I was taken aback. None of my photos do justice to the beauty of this country.
One of the most underrated tourist destinations. You never really hear people planning a holiday trip to Canada. “We are going to USA, so maybe we will go to Toronto or we will just see the Niagra Falls from the Canada side.” is the common sentiment people have. Including me. But I was proven wrong. The most beautiful countries in the world doesn’t get credit enough. It has a lot to offer.
From the spectacular scenery to the majestic Rockies mountain range to the never ending, pristine lakes. The country has everything in abundance. Its not so much about architectural beauty but more about the landscapes & rocky terrains. Also, We were lucky enough to visit it at a time when Canada was blooming to the fullest in its Fall glory.
For me the best part however was that after a day full of excursions, sight-seeing, activities..you can still go to the mall at 6 pm. Or grab a drink at a lively bar at 10 pm. Unlike a lot of other beautiful countries, which are sleepy post 6, Canada was a refreshing change. Canada likes to party.
I also know, why so many people migrate to Canada. Its something I couldn’t comprehend up until now. It’s because of Canadians & the quality of life here. People are generous, kind & empathetic. They are welcoming to tourists & migrants alike. At least we didn’t face even a hint of racism, which sometimes is the case in European countries. The quality of life is incredible. Food is fresh, tasty & served in massive quantities. The air is clean & crisp. Lots of opportunities for people who work hard.
Breaking my blog into two parts. The next part will have the details to our itinerary.
